On April 9, the Shanghai Labor Protection Exhibition came to a successful close. At the exhibition, LEMONTA Technology officially launched LEMONTA Huilong water-opened microfiber specially designed for safety shoes, available in three thicknesses: 1.4mm, 1.6mm and 1.8mm. Boasting an outstanding leather-like texture and slow-resilience performance, it far surpasses conventional microfiber leather produced with toluene-based processes. It has attracted safety shoe manufacturers and leather traders from around the globe to visit and discuss cooperation.

Water-opened fiber technology has long been regarded as the crown jewel of the leather industry, featuring extremely high technical barriers.

To overcome the technical challenges of water-opened fiber production, China’s synthetic leather industry has invested more than 2 billion yuan over the years.
